Lofted Barn
With up to 8ft of loft included in the price, the Lofted Barn is ideal for maximizing the available storage space. The gambrel (barn-style) roof provides a traditional appearance and increases the total loft space. ALL lofted barns are ENGINEER CERTIFIED!
Utilize the lofted area for additional storage space or add a Loft Window to allow more light into your barn. Packages can also be added to your Lofted Barn to suit your specific needs.
Utility Sheds
The gable style roof of the Utility Shed provides the option for increased wall height, making it feel more spacious on the inside and leaving room on the walls for taller storage shelves, lawn and garden tools, or ladders. Utility Sheds are ENGINEER CERTIFIED!
If more space is needed, loft can be added to an 8ft Utility Shed. Gable or Shed Dormers can also be added to allow for increased natural light. See those package options for height restrictions.
Single Slope
With a lean-to roof style, the Single Slope can be placed with its back against a tree line or a property boundary, making the shed a part of your landscape. The high front can include horizontal windows to let in natural light. Single Slope Sheds are ENGINEER CERTIFIED!
The Single Slope Shed comes in handy when you have a storage need but the shed location backs up to a property edge, trees, a fence, or other obstruction that will limit the location of the entrance to the front. Customize this building with more windows on the sides to brighten and open the space a bit more.
Non-Lofted Barns
If you need simple outdoor storage space for gardening tools, lawn equipment or other miscellaneous items, then the Non-lofted Barn might be the right choice. It is tall enough for the average adult to stand in. The Non-Lofted Barn may also serve as a perfect space for a children’s clubhouse. Non-Lofted Barns are ENGINEER CERTIFIED!
Side Gable
Side Gable Buildings are a great alternative to Side Entry Utility Sheds. Sometimes it’s best to situate a shed on your property with the long side facing into the yard. Maybe you’re positioning it along a property border, a tree line, or facing into a driveway…but you want the roof gable to have the same orientation. The Side Gable Building accomplishes this but also provides great internal space height in the center.
All Side Gable buildings are ENGINEER CERTIFIED!
Metro Sheds
The Old Hickory Metro Shed is an ideal storage solution for customers with limited yard space or those living in HOA-run neighborhoods. It’s ideal for simple storage of lawn and garden equipment, a push mower or snow blower, seasonal decorations, and other items that can be moved to open up valuable inside or garage storage space. Built as a single-slope building with the roof slope running from back to front, the Metro Shed can be positioned directly against an exterior wall or a property fence.
Double Wide Utility
Double Wide Utility Buildings are comprised of two single-slope sheds with large frame-out openings on their high walls that face each other when connected upon delivery to create a large open interior space. The remainder of the floor decking is then installed, and a ridge cap is added.
Metal Buildings
Horizontal Metal sheds are the most economical models we offer, designed for customers that need a simple and lower cost storage solution. Add-on options are limited, and these buildings are not Engineer Certified, but can be for an additional charge.
If you like the look or want the durability of metal siding but need more options or want an add-on package like the Deluxe Playhouse, the Lofted Barn or Utility Shed can be sided with vertical metal (depending on your delivery location).
Cabanas
Old Hickory Cabanas are the ideal solution for affordable outdoor covered spaces. If your property is lacking a covered outdoor sitting area for you to enjoy, your restaurant needs a simple outdoor seating solution, or if your local park is in need of a few gazebos for shaded relaxation…the Old Hickory Cabana can fit the bill!
The range of widths and lengths available allow you to size your cabana to suit your specific need. All Cabanas are ENGINEER CERTIFIED!
Greenhouses
Many homeowners around the country are catching on to the idea of growing their own fresh herbs and vegetables. Old Hickory’s greenhouses are the ideal structure for growing your plants year-round in a climate-controlled environment. Our Greenhouse gets delivered fully assembled and will be leveled up to 3’ by our drivers. All you’ll need to do is fill it with plants!
Animal Shelters
Our Animal Shelters have a 4x6in pressure treated perimeter base to make it deliverable by our drivers yet will resist rotting from ground moisture. You can add stalls, partitions, or a tack room depending on the size. Animal Shelters are ENGINEER CERTIFIED!
With our Animal Shelters, don’t be afraid of maximizing the space for your animals by adding multiple stalls. Tack rooms can also be used as an additional storage space for farm goods and small tools, or even a workspace for projects.
Single Slope Animal Shelters
Single Slope Animal Shelters have a front wall height that reaches a minimum of 100″ and rear wall height of 84″. Designed with a roof slope, these buildings come standard with a 3/12 roof pitch to maximize space. Our Single Slope Animal Shelters are Engineer Certified and have a 4x6in pressure treated perimeter base to resist rotting. Upgrade your building by adding stalls, partitions, or a tack room, depending on the size.
Chicken Coops
Old Hickory Chicken Coops are the ideal and affordable solution for raising chickens on a residential property. They include all the essentials needed to safely raise your chickens in a stress-free environment, protected from predators.
It includes a 3ft barn door on the end, two 24in x 27in single pane windows to allow in fresh air, a roosting ladder, raised nesting boxes with an exterior hatch access, and a small chicken door that will allow the chickens to exit the coop to range in the area of your choosing. Chicken coops are available in 6ft or 8ft widths and in a few different lengths.
Wood Drying Sheds
Designed for reliable year-round use, our Wood Drying Sheds are constructed with pressure treated 2x4s, have open-slat siding and treated deck boards to promote airflow and keep firewood off the wet ground. They’re available in 7ft or 8ft heights and in a variety of widths and lengths.

Deluxe Playhouse
The Deluxe Playhouse is the ultimate package for creating an outdoor recreational space, DIY studio or home office. It includes a 9-lite walk-in door, five 2x3ft single-pane windows (3 in the bay front), four porch posts and three sections of porch railing. The Utility version includes 8ft walls. This package requires a minimum shed size of 12ft x 24ft.
The Lofted Barn option includes loft decking above the porch area for added storage while the Utility Shed option includes 8ft walls, creating added vertical space for shelves or other types of storage.
Playhouse
The playhouse package is an easy add-on if you’re looking to give your barn or shed some country style and a place to sit in the shade. It includes a 9-lite walk-in door, 4ft of porch, two porch posts, and three 2x3ft single-pane windows.
The Lofted Barn option includes loft decking above the porch area for added storage while the Utility Shed option includes 8ft walls, creating added vertical space for shelves or other types of storage.
Side Porch
The Side Porch package is a great alternative to the Playhouse if you’re planning to orient the building sideways. It includes a 9-lite walk-in door, 4ft depth porch with railing on the short side, one porch post, two 2x3ft single-pane windows and double barn doors.
The Lofted Barn option includes loft decking above the porch area for added storage while the Utility Shed option includes 8ft walls, creating added vertical space for shelves or other types of storage. The Side Porch package can be applied to any corner of your building.
Garage
A rollup garage door is ideal for easy-access storage, especially for larger items that need a wide lockable opening. The package also includes a solid walk-in door, one 2x3ft single-pane window, 12in On-Center floor joists, and a diamond plate door threshold. The Utility version includes 8ft walls.
Shelter large lawn equipment and similar large equipment, or for use as a workshop. However, please be advised IBC (International Building Code) dictates that our Garage Package sheds are not intended for use as a private garage to store motor vehicles because they do not have a non-combustible floor. You may also want to consider additional flooring thickness upgrades to increase the total load and point load limits if you plan to store larger and heavier items like riding lawnmowers.
Shed Dormer
Available on Utility Sheds only.
The Shed Dormer adds substantial daylight into your shed, making the inside feel larger and giving the outside a quaint appearance. The package comes standard with a 7/12 pitch roof and includes three 10x29in horizontal windows.
It is only available in 8ft, 10ft and 12ft widths, but more than one dormer can be added to a building if the building length permits. You can also add dormers to both sides of the gable-style roof.
Gable Dormer
Available on Utility Sheds only.
The Gable Dormer provides an architectural detail that transforms your storage space into an attractive landscape feature. One 18in octagonal window helps let in more light.

Our 4×6” pressure treaded skids resist rotting and are notched at 12” or 16” on center to ensure consistent floor joist spacing.Recessing and toenailing the joists in the notches lock them in place ensures the shed can be loaded, unloaded, and moved repeatedly withoutany warping or racking of the floor system.
We double the wall studs wherever our T1 – 11 siding has a seam, so that both sections o f siding will have a full stud width to be fastened to. This prevents edge tear – outs on the siding and strong adhesion that will stand up to strong winds and years of use.
The diamond-plate door threshold cap creates a solid step that can handle constant abuse from foot traffic and equipment wheels.It prevents wear the tear on the exposed edges of the floor decking at the entrance of the shed…ensuring years of use without cracking, splintering, or delaminating.
Exposed nails are ring-shanked and galvanized for rust prevention. Ring-shank nails have twice the withdrawal strength of smooth-shank nails. The rings around the nail shank lock into each groove along the shank, resulting in a nail that holds tight despite extreme wind or cyclical moisture conditions.

Our metal roofing panels are fastened with color matching screws to ensure the best possible appearance.Ourfasteners are designed with an enhanced corrosion resistant coating and use a self-sealing neoprene washer to prevent leaks.
We use doubled top plates to help intersecting walls lock together and to help support the load from roof trusses. This is especially important to prevent sagging when roof truss and wall studspacing differ and the truss lines up between two studs.
